Excellent music, it really drew me and got me excited about the show.

This made me grin because I had to dig out my Bowie's Greatest Hits CD today after watching the pilot a second time. Mike and I usually watch together over meals but he had to leave to teach and I couldn't stop watching, so I saw it again today. I was really jazzed by the writing. I agree with the criticisms about Peet's character but I thought the rest was really engaging. What a great bunch of people they got together for the pilot. Even if the show goes downhill from here I think they an opening worth watching on its own.

How much fun was that! I'd never seen a bunch of those before and it was hilarious. I was just waiting for the icons to start appearing today.

Re: Dancing, yes, Lopez is very good but it was very bad strategy. Mike said it was one of the few times he was in complete agreement with all the judges. Lawrence was fabulous, definitely the Drew of this season I think, and Emmitt is the Jerry, charming and with lots of potential. I think he was lucky to draw Cheryl because she's a good choreographer and seems to be working with his strengths. I was less enthused about the women this time around, but I love Vivica Fox's sass.
