It just always seemed so ironic to me that I would fall in love with a show that had someone called Cordelia after my whole Anne obsession. I know! BtVS Cordelia is so completely different from Anne's idea of Cordelia; she's basically the opposite of Anne's romanticized notion of Cordelia (especially on BtVS).
Although I was just reflecting that Cordelia is the queen of the school and very popular, she's the girl that most girls aspire to be. In a way, she is the modern day ideal except that on BtVS we see what's wrong with the ideal and that she's not really the ideal girl or a good role model. It sort of reminds me how Anne discovers as she gets older that a lot of the things she wished for and idealized aren't what she really wanted.
