Oh Pacey, you blind idiot. Can't you see she doesn't love you? (btvs 5:4)
Okay, so I'm totally behind on reading my f-list, I want to be reading more of the Gud Summries Ficathon entries (my contribution is Chicken Dancing) AND I am supposed to be working ... but I cannot resist a meme (which I grabbed from
kimberly_a) all about the tv shows that I've watched!! The thing to keep in mind is that I didn't watch a lot of tv as a kid (we didn't have a colour tv or cable until I was 10 years old).
• Bold all of the following TV shows which you've ever seen 3 or more episodes of in your lifetime.
• Bold and italicize a show if you're positive you've seen every episode of it.
• If you want, add up to 3 additional shows (keep the list in alphabetical order).

You Can't Do That On Television
And should you be interested I added in Spin City, Third Rock From the Sun and - in a kind of cheat - Degrassi Junior High and Degrassi High (they were basically the same show, but they changed the name when they went to high school). Oh no, I just remembered Newsradio, Northern Exposure, and North of 60, all of which I want to add.
And because I'm a big dork, I calculated that I've seen about 55% of the shows listed there, which is impressive considering I missed out on a lot of tv as a kid. And I keep thinking of more shows that I should add to that list ... yes, I watch/have watched a lot of tv!!

Me too! But I limited myself to three. *g*
It'll be fun to see your list! :)
Done! (http://earth-vexer.livejournal.com/17768.html)

Really? No more than three episodes of Get Smart?
no subject
I'm pretty sure that I missed Get Smart during my childhood tv-void, and it hasn't been on re-runs for me to see more recently. I'm sure I haven't seen even one episode of Get Smart. I thought you'd be horrified that I haven't seen any episodes of Twin Peaks (but I may have already horrified you with that news). I do plan to watch Twin Peaks!!! *g*

I did the meme, but for some reason everything was bold when I hit post. So I'll have to do it again later or over the weekend.
no subject
I had lots of problems with the coding when I was posting mine, and for a few minutes the cut-tag wasn't working, so I was flailing about worried people were cursing me! I'll keep an eye out for when you post yours. :)

I don't think I'll do it 'cause I'm not a big TV watcher (nor do I have many friends who'll care :) but I had to go yay!! Spin City!! which would be just about the *only* italicized one on my list! (except for Firefly). Yay Molly Parker! And yay for Third Rock!
That's it! I'm certifiable! Or something like that. Could I *be* any whiter?
no subject
I'm excited that you're a Spin City fan too!! When I used to work a lot of nights (I still do, but it was later shifts), I'd always take my hour break and watch the Simpsons and Spin City (and when Spin City was done they switched to Third Rock from the Sun). I prefer the Michael J. Fox years vs. the Charlie Sheen ones. Did you know that the creator of Spin City (Bill Lawrence) is the creator/show-runner for Scrubs (one of my other favourites)?
eeee! Now I want to watch the show again! I got my mom the season 1 DVD recently, so next time I visit her we must watch the rest.
no subject
I should do this, though mine will be far less complete than yours, and full of the bolding of Britcoms, because I have a British sitcom compulsion. Gabe and I were watching the first season of Father Ted DVDs the other night, as a matter of fact--it was one of the first gifts I gave him after we got together. :)
(P.S. I saw your Gud Sumries story and can't wait to read it--I'm hoping either tomorrow morning [for tonight is laundry night, joy! /sarcasm]]) or tomorrow night. :) )
no subject
That's neat that you watch a lot of Britcoms! I've watched a lot of British films but less tv shows. I'll have to check out Father Ted! Very cool that you & Gabe were watching it last night.
(No rush. :) I hope you enjoy it when you get a chance to read it. ah yes, the joy of laundry! I was paying bills today but I did some clothing shopping as well so it wasn't all bad. *g*)

Man, I'm afraid to do this meme... :D
no subject
It's a lengthy meme to do. I had to go through the list a bunch of times because I would keep skipping over shows I've watched. Are you afraid you'll have a lot of shows listed?
