I just read some casting news that made me so excited I simultaneously twirled around and jumped up & down (I kid you not). James Marsters (Spike from Buffy & Angel) has been cast for multiple episodes on Smallville as Professor Milton Fine, a villain known as Brainiac. Here's the zap2it article with more info.

I have been waiting and waiting for James Marsters to be on television again so this news has totally made my day! I'm not the biggest fan of Smallville (although I do watch the show) but I normally watch it for the villainous characters, like Lex, anyway. Now I feel like I really have something to look forward to on television this year - this is finally news that helps me get over the loss of Joan of Arcadia.

So many Buffy and Angel alumni will be on television this coming television season!

I'm excited that so many of my favourite actors will be back on television again, however I'm just a little worried about finding the time to watch so many new shows. I'm glad I already watch Smallville and Veronica Mars, at least I don't need to add them to my television watching lineup.

I've just started the 7th chapter of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince so I'm not too far into the book yet. I'm carrying it around with me and have found it particularly hard to resist reading it while at work. I've also started watching the 1st Harry Potter movie and am really enjoying it. It's not as good as the 3rd movie but still fun to watch.
