Yes, Marc Blucas is not all that cardboardy, really. But what I find odd is that there's this look that Tom Welling has in the opening credits that's sort of intense and heroic-looking, but he never seems to have that look on the show itself. (well, from the episodes I've seen, anyway, which isn't all that many, so...)
