I'm such a dork that it made me really happy that Nicholas Brendon attended the premiere of Alyson Hannigan's new movie: Date Movie. You see, in my mind I was having silly thoughts like: "Willow and Xander are still BFFs!" Yes, I'm that geeky!!

Here's Nicholas Brendon looking all adorable! I wish there was a picture of him and Alyson Hannigan together. If you click through the pictures there are ones of her with Alexis Denisof and Joss Whedon!! It also made me happy to see that the entire cast of How I Met Your Mother attended!!

These pictures of James Marsters as Braniac on Smallville also make me very happy, because ... James Marsters!!!

I'm not sure which one of our favorite vampire actors said it, but they're right: If there's to be a project it has to be soon, because vampires are not supposed to ever age!

I like the idea of the Spike/Faith series that was supposedly being considered. Maybe they could roam around, encountering new slayers and the occasional old friend. Besides, they'd get a chance to argue a lot, and they're good at that. There was also a Buffy animated series in the works, but apparently that's sunk. :-(

It was James Marsters who said something along the lines that they should do something in the next 5 years or so. *sends 'hurry up' thoughts to Joss & co*

My friends and I had this idea for a Spike and Andrew spin off. Spike could drive a motorcycle with Andrew in a sidecar. They'd deal with vampires and demons. Maybe visit Clem. The idea entertained us muchly! Sometimes I think that Supernatural is eerily similar to our idea.

Spike and Andrew
That is a good idea! And in the spirit of classic hero/sidekick stories, and yes, similar to Supernatural. It would also be a good way to fit in guest starring spots from various canon characters. I wonder how a visit between them and Buffy's dad would go?

Re: Spike and Andrew
Speaking of dads, it would be fun for them to meet Andrew's dad (or both parents). Oh god, Spike would be in hell ... unless one of the parents is cool and they could bond over Andrew's weirdness.

Re: Spike and Andrew
Oh, yeah, I could see that ... Andrew's dad would be a gruff man's man who can't understand where he went wrong, and Andrew's mom will be one of those applie pie types who fawns over her son. And he'll have two older sisters. ;-)

Re: Spike and Andrew
I like the idea of a gruff parent (the dad?) that Spike could bond with, but then it would awesome if the other parent (the mom?) AND two older sisters are all very similar to Andrew. (I love Andrew so am entertained by the idea of too much Andrew.) Then Spike and the dad could roll their eyes affectionately tolerantly.

Andrew's female relatives
That sounds like a pretty good family unit ... it might explain a lot, too. :-)

Re: Andrew's female relatives
It would explain a lot! I also like the idea of torturing Spike with multiple Andrews ... because torturing Spike is always fun. hee hee

torturing Spike
Yes, torturing Spike is one of my favorite things to do, too. He's definitely destined to be in future stories of mine, if I can figure out a way to save his sorry butt from the end of 'Angel'.

Re: torturing Spike
I totally believe that Spike, Angel and Illyria made it out alive, ahem, or undead at the case may be. I'm not so sure about Gunn :(. I'm not sure HOW they make it out but I know they must!

Re: torturing Spike
Gunn is my sticking point, too. I'd like to pull him through this so he can be my new Watcher's Council's attorney, but realistically he was pretty messed up even *before* the final fight began. I do have an idea, but it's bugging me because it seems a bit too simplistic. Still working on it!

Re: torturing Spike
Have you seen the new Angel comic book series "Old Friends"? It's set post-NFA and Gunn, Angel, Spike and Illyria all survive. In the battle Gunn lost an eye so he wears an eye patch.

I can't remember if it explains how they made it out (I borrowed them from a friend so I don't have any handy to check).

Re: torturing Spike
I've never heard of that comic -- it would be nice to read. I'd like to see a scene with Gunn and Xander trading eye patch jokes!
