cordelianne: (Buffybot "Fight with weapons")
Happy Wednesday!! I hope everyone is experiencing the same lovely weather we are here. I had planned to take notes while watching all 5 of my shows last night, but it turns out I wrote meaningless squee like Vincent!!! Butters! Whoo hooo!, which is not helpful for a thoughtful review. So, as a challenge to myself I’ve arbitrarily decided that I can only write 2 sentences about each of my Tuesday shows. Let’s see if rambly me can accomplish this!

Veronica Mars “Nevermind the Buttocks” (2:19)

1. I love how many clues to the mystery were in this episode, especially how Kendall (aka Priscilla Banks – awesome name!) and Liam Fitzpatrick are connected, and even though I question whether either one of them is responsible (because there will be a huge twist in the last episode), Liam is deliciously creepy.
2. I never believed that Weevil was behind the bus crash and I love that he helped out the PCHers but didn’t rejoin the gang (I wouldn’t have respected him if he had); now I worry he’ll die this season (not based on any spoilers, just my own crazy theory because he’s so cool).

Okay, I can’t resist a couple more sentences:
- I’m not thrilled about this “maybe Duncan did kill Lily” suggestion, although if it leads to more Aaron scenes (and not more Duncan scenes) it will be entertaining.
- The Wallace/Jackie stuff wasn’t that interesting, I liked it better when Wallace’s love life was secondary to his friendship with Veronica.
- Logan starting to list his whole romantic/sexual history was very funny.

Gilmore Girls “I Get A Sidekick Out of You” (6:19)

1. I loved that Lorelei said “frakking” (second BSG reference on the show), and this quote: Lorelei Gilmore, disappointing mothers since 1968.
2. Lane’s wedding was really fun, and the stuff with her mom made me cry, however Lorelei’s drunken speech was so cringe-worthy and heart-breaking (I really liked it, and am hoping the big confrontation with Luke will happen SOON).

Okay, again I have more to say. Clearly I fail at my own challenge.
- Even though I’m not that keen when they have characters marrying young on tv (not that it doesn’t happen in real life), I really believe that it will work for Lane and Zack (what do you mean they’re not real characters?).
- Mrs. Kim’s sex speech was wonderfully horrible!
- I loved the double wedding and double ceremony, very fun and in keeping with Lane’s double life.
- Logan’s accident: I just don’t care that much, although maybe if he’s seriously injured it’ll make him more interesting?

Scrubs “His Story III” (5:19)

1. Alternate perspective episodes are fun, but the main thing I love about the show is J.D.’s inner monologue and fantasies so although I enjoyed the Janitor’s story, it wasn’t my favourite episode.
2. I loved when the Janitor’s inner monologue said something like And now I’ll help him up so he’ll think there’s a chance for a good relationship,, and then we switched into J.D.’s monologue which viewed the gesture exactly the way the Janitor wanted (I also loved Turk’s concern that he wasn’t Black enough … and yes this technically doesn’t have anything to do with the sentence but I’m trying to sneak this in so I only have two sentences).

House “Sleeping Dogs Lie” (2:18)

1. I loved when Cameron said We have rectal bleeding, about the patient, and House replied All of you?"
2. It was an interesting episode in terms of Cameron, and the scene when Foreman tells her they’re not friends is really well done.

Teachers “Golf” (1:4)
1. This was funnier than the previous episodes, probably because I enjoy over-the-top stuff like the principal doing her ridiculous acting.
2. I’m not that fond of the slacker teacher always knowing more about the students than the British teacher; it would be nice if they mixed that up a bit.

Okay, so I completely failed my own challenge for Veronica Mars and Gilmore Girls, and I basically failed it for Scrubs. However I did succeed with House and Teachers, yay me? So that’s 2 out of 5, um, yeah I fail. Tonight is Bones (yay!!), The Amazing Race, and the two hour return of Alias.

Random thing: they turned the air conditioning on at work and now it’s beautiful and refreshing, instead of hot and stiffling.

You'll probably note that the icon I'm using (by [livejournal.com profile] kornpeep) has nothing to do with my post. It just amuses me because I love that Buffybot smile and that line of hers always cracks me up.

Re: Duncan - that's why they showed us Kendall collecting his hair from the shower in the previouslies. Remember her bargain with Aaron Echolls? Right after that, she went to Logan's (and formerly Duncan's) hotel suite and did the collecting.

Oh! Of course! For some reason I'd decided that she was getting Logan's hair because Aaron was going to have a paternity test done. But that doesn't make sense, however Kendall getting Duncan's hair is logical!! I'm so happy you told me this! *g*

"The Wallace/Jackie stuff wasn’t that interesting, I liked it better when Wallace’s love life was secondary to his friendship with Veronica. "

Seriously. Did Veronica and Wallace even share a scene in this episode????? I don't think they even showed him coming into the Hut and requesting Jackie's section. This is not cool.

But did you see the latest episode of Reba with all the flashbacks? There were a few I'd never seen - like Van in the jazzercize outfit, priceless!

I'm hoping that there'll be some Veronica/Wallace BFF moments in the next episode. I don't hate Jackie or anything, it's just not as excellent as the Veronica/Wallace dynamic.

I'm behind on my Reba watching, so I'm excited to hear that there's flashbacks!! I adore flashbacks. Van in a jazzercize outfit is soooo funny! He always entertains me.

I keep thinking the same thing. Weird. I hope not, but you never know.

Maybe we've watched too many Joss Whedon shows? Here's hoping no Weevil death.

That Mr. Wu and egg icon is excellent!!

Vincent!!! Butters! Whoo hooo! sounds good to me, but then I am awfully tired. ;D I liked this week's episode of VM, but not as much as the 2 prior episodes. I thought "Bones" was rather interesting this week. Not my favorite ep of "Scrubs" either. Hee, my sleepiness is making me much less rambley, which may be a good thing! *hugs*

I agree that VM wasn't as good as the previous two. I haven't seen Bones yet ... I was at my friend's place late playing the Buffy video game. I'm also behind on Supernatural and Smallville. I'm hoping today will be tv catch-up day.

Random: I'm getting my hair cut today!!

I hope you are now refreshed from a good sleep! *hugs*
