I just love that BtVS quote so much - it perfectly sums up how I'm feeling right now. It's so awesome that when I have a day off I don't have to do homework (or feel guilty about not doing homework). On Monday, I caught up on weeks worth of Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy AND saw the finale of Everwood. I did ensure to do my daily exercise as well - but that's boring to write about.

Life's been basically work and tv for the last couple of days as I've also seen the Lost finale, Joey episodes (for spec scripts), Charmed and Joan of Arcadia (Season 1 on DVD). I think even I'm feeling a little too drenched in television.

Fortunately I did hang out with some friends on Sunday, which was very fun. We saw Kingdom of Heaven which isn't spectacular although it is entertaining. Orlando Bloom is fun to look at and the action sequences are impressive (although they are very LoTR Two Towers inspired, shall we say).

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by tv finales right now, so here's just a few thoughts:

Is there anything new? - During the Desperate Housewives finale, I kept thinking "Wait a minute, didn't we already know all this previously?" It was more about the characters finding out - very little surprises for the audience, a little disappointing I must say.

Excellent actress who should win an Emmy just based on this one scene - On Desperate Housewives Bree's reaction to Rex's death (or is he dead?) is such a powerful scene - I was sobbing.

Excellent actor who should win an Emmy just based on this one scene - Harold's scene in the bathroom praying for Rose during the Everwood finale.

Best kiss - The Hannah and Bright kiss made me so happy on Everwood. It was so satisfying because of how it felt like it developed organically throughout the season.

Best reunion - Jin and Sun's reconciliation in the previous week's Lost episode

Hello, was that supposed to be a cliffhanger? -I'm not caring much about the Desperate Housewives cliffhanger, it actually felt kind of anti-climactic.

Hello, was that supposed to be a cliffhanger? part 2 - I'm also feeling "whatever" about the Grey's Anatomy cliffhanger of Dr. Shephard having a wife (please, I'm sure they're separated or something).

Now that's a cliffhanger - The final question of Gilmore Girls' fifth season shows those new shows how it's done.

Cutest character - I love George's character on Grey's Anatomy, he's so adorable. I found his storyline fun even though it does seem a tad unbelievable that there'd be a syphilis outbreak amongst staff at a hospital (although maybe it's similar to hospital staff who smoke). I'm not upset about it, though, since I don't try to impose real life realities on the fictional television world.

Almost as good as Veronica Mars finale: Lost succeeded at answering a number of questions while still leaving lots of stuff unanswered. There were some great high-stakes stuff. I'm now all worried about all the guys on the raft. I have to admit I wasn't that sad to see Arzt go, particularly because it was satisfyingly shocking.

Most heart-wrenching finale: Gilmore Girls also delivered an excellent finale with fun and lots of twists and turns. I think that Emily and Richard went about things all wrong with Lorelei but actually have the correct approach to Rory wanting to take time off university. I like that I can be mad at them for stabbing Lorelei in the back but happy with their support of Rory.

I've still got more tv watching to catch up on but it's something I can look forward to doing. I'm also visiting my grandpa again - because I have my life back!
